WatchKnow is a new Web site from the same people that brought you Wikipedia. It’s an attempt to not only bring together but to organize all of the myriad educational videos and podcasts out there in a useable format.

The videos are NOT actually hosted on WatchKnow, it only embeds the videos from other sources… So, if YouTube is blocked in your school or district, your choices available there will be greatly limited.

Looks like a great way to make sense of what is out there, and combine this with MediaConverter.orgKickYouTube, or some of the other video converting options out there, finding and using video in your classroom keeps getting easier!

I use my computer desktop as an organizational way stop – stuff that I need or have recently obtained or created waits on my desktop until I know where it needs to permanently live, or until I’m done with it.

The desktop backgrounds or wallpaper that you can get from the site linked above will help organize the files and folders on your desktop into functional or related groups so that those of us that keep a LOT of stuff on the desktop won’t have to hunt around as much – as long as you take that second to drag that file to it’s proper ‘zone’.

Great tool!
