Here&#8217;s Google&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/edu\/classroom\/answer\/6149237?hl=en&amp;authuser=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">What&#8217;s new in Classroom<\/a>\u00a0updates page.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>What is it?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Classroom is a great tool in G Suite for Education that was designed hand-in-hand with teachers using Google Drive with their students to help them save time, keep classes organized, and improve communication with students.<\/li>\n<li>Since it&#8217;s release in August 2014, Google has continuously added new features and made improvements to the tool. As well, Classroom received a MAJOR facelift in August 2018. If you have not taken a look at Classroom for a while, it&#8217;s worth some time to dig into it!<\/li>\n<li>It\u2019s like a super light version of Canvas<\/li>\n<li>Classroom = an easy to drive\u00a0VW Beetle, Canvas = a Ferrari with all of the bells and whistles<\/li>\n<li>Take a look at this\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/edu\/classroom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Classroom Overview<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/edu\/classroom\/answer\/6149237?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">learn what new features and tools have been added to Classroom lately<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What can it do?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create classes with a click<\/li>\n<li>Add students to classes by email or a student entered code (automatically generated)<\/li>\n<li>Class \u2018Stream\u2019 for discussions<\/li>\n<li>Create assignments using 1 or multiple uploaded files, Drive docs, YouTube videos or web links<\/li>\n<li>Open discussions in assignments, or private notes\/discussion on individual assignments<\/li>\n<li>Online assignment turning in, grading and returning<\/li>\n<li>Automatic Drive folder and document creation &#8211; everything is created, shared and organized automatically for teachers and students!<\/li>\n<li>Download assignment grade spreadsheet<\/li>\n<li>Lots more now, and much more to come!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Take a look at <a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/JUiLc0If0CI\" data-lightbox=\"on\">Google Classroom in action<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A few things to know first&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Classroom\u00a0(like all other Google products) is constantly being improved and features added. Take a look at the <a href=\"http:\/\/googleforeducation.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google for Education Blog<\/a> (or just the <a href=\"http:\/\/googleforeducation.blogspot.com\/search\/label\/Classroom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posts specific to Classroom<\/a>) to keep informed about all of the new additions.<\/li>\n<li>Google has added the &#8220;Trusted Domains&#8221; feature to GAFE.
